News of the Death of local actor , MC KING
Celebrity-studded farewell for 'MC King'
HUNDREDS of people turned up to bid farewell to Singaporean comedian Jimmy Nah on Monday at a funeral that was both tearful and filled with song.
Some 50 celebrities were there, including MediaCorp artistes Chew Chor Meng, Thomas Ong, Zheng Geping, Marcus Chin, Aileen Tan, Huang Shinan and Pan Lingling.
It was held at the void deck below his Cassia Crescent HDB flat near Old Airport Road.
Before the funeral started, the stars sang to Nah, serenading him with his favourite karaoke songs. Many artistes wept as they sang.
Nah, who went by the nickname MC King, experienced breathing problems while at home last Friday afternoon.
He was sent to Tan Tock Seng hospital where he died. He was 40.
Monday's ceremony of Buddhist rites began at 11am. At about noon, Nah left on his final journey to Mandai Crematorium.
There, stars took turns to go to the podium to pay tribute to their friend.
Nah earned the nickname MC King after a malingering character he played in the 1990 Mandarin sitcom Friends Next Door.
But in real life, he was nothing like his malingering on-screen persona.
A graduate from the then-Singapore Broadcasting Corporation Drama Training Course in 1989, he had appeared in more than 60 local Chinese drama series, English sitcoms, variety shows and stage plays.

Ex-teen actor starts jail term for insubordination in NS
By David Boey
FORMER teen actor Marcus Ng Yi Loong began his one-week jail term on Tuesday after he failed in his appeal to get the sentence for insubordination quashed. -- ST PHOTO: LIM SIN THAIFORMER teen actor Marcus Ng Yi Loong, 21, began his one-week jail term on Tuesday after he failed in his appeal to get his sentence for insubordination quashed. The High Court on Tuesday upheld the jail sentence meted out by a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) court martial in July last year. He was also reprimanded by a Military Court of Appeal for being rude to his superior. This is the second time he has been hauled up since he started his military service in September 2006.Ng, who holds the rank of Private, is perhaps best-known as the rebellious teen in the TV sitcom Phua Chu Kang.Ng's troubles in the SAF began in October 2006 when his superiors at the SAF Medical Training Institute slapped him with four charges for offences including not obeying orders. In February last year, while he was being investigated by the SAF legal process, Ng chased and argued aggressively with a 50-year-old woman Warrant Officer in his unit's Operations Room.A Master Warrant Officer, a trained Commando, saw the altercation and intervened.Ng rudely shrugged off the Master Warrant Officer's hand when he tried to calm the Private. For this, Ng faced two more charges: one for insubordinate behaviour after the Operations Room argument, and another for improper conduct.Last July, an SAF court martial found him guilty of these charges and sentenced him to seven days jail at the SAF Detention Barracks for each charge.Unhappy with the sentence, Ng lodged a Notice of Appeal - a legal right for all SAF serviceman to seek redress - and was granted a hearing by a five-person panel chaired by Justice Choo Han Teck.In the meantime, Ng was fined $500 for two of the earlier charges and acquitted on the other charges. On Tuesday, Ng's defence lawyer, Mr Wendell Wong from Drew & Napier, said a jail term was 'the harshest punishment I've ever seen for this sort of offence'' and urged the panel to quash the convictions or impose a fine instead. But Mr Luke Tan, head of Military Law at the Ministry of Defence, argued: 'This is akin to a case where a person is on bail. Has he learnt anything from it? No, he goes one up and goes after two other officers.''It would be inappropriate to give a little slap on the risk by imposing a fine as that would be of little consequence to him.''Some 25 people, including Ng's mother, Madam Florence Tan, 58, were in court when the panel reached a unanimous decision to uphold the first charge and reduce the second sentence to a reprimand. He appeared teary-eyed when led away to begin his sentence.

All i can say is hello brother , army is not a place to do what you want and as you wish.
It's a place where you learn about discipline !
Being childish and immature wouldn't get you anywhere.
Though i already left the "Regular Army Life"
It changed me and made me learn how a better person.
You should go to the doctor and declare yourself gay.
They will send you to the SAF drama school , isn't that what you like.
No offence of whatsoever , i loved watching your sitcoms
But i simplily cannot accept faggots who cannot understand what is right and what is wrong in the military. And let your emotions get the better of you.
Hope your DB holiday will help you wake up your idea.
Learn to respect bro, they are not Warrant officers for no reason.

Dog shoots & kills Texas hunter (Yeah , now i call tat a dog trained to kill) LOL
Wed, Jan 09, 2008
AFP
CHICAGO - AN overexcited dog accidentally shot and killed its owner on a goose hunting trip in Texas, authorities said on Tuesday.
Mr Perry Price, 46, had just shot a goose and went back to his pickup truck to let his dog out to go find it in the brush.
He leaned over the bed of the truck and lay his shotgun down inside as he unhooked the tailgate, his hunting companion told investigators.
'When the dog got to jumping around it went off,' deputy Nacheal Bonin of the Chambers County Sheriff's Department said.
The shotgun pellets went through the truck's tailgate and struck Mr Price, a high school teacher and avid hunter, in the thigh.
His friend rushed Mr Price to a hospital just a short distance away but the pellets had severed an artery and Mr Price could not be saved.
He was pronounced dead at 6.20pm on Saturday.
'It just caught him in the wrong area. It's a freak accident,' Deputy Bonin said.
There will be no further investigation because the gun was covered with the chocolate Labrador Retriever's muddy paw prints, she added.
It's not uncommon for hunters to be shot by their dogs.
A pack of hunting dogs shot an Iowa man in the leg as he went to retrieve a fallen pheasant in October.
He had put his gun on the ground to climb a fence and retrieve the fallen bird. But the dogs followed him too closely, stepping on the gun's trigger before he managed to get over the fence.
He was badly injured when 100 to 120 pellets of birdshot hit him square in the left calf but survived the incident.

ICA officer jailed for helping hubby commit graft
She helped husband commit corruption by endorsing Thai woman's passport to extend stay.

The Straits Times
A FORMER Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officer was jailed for three months on Monday for helping her husband commit corruption by endorsing a Thai woman's passport to extend her stay here.
Kavitha Manikam Kalavanan ,27, was an ICA specialist attached to Woodlands checkpoint when she intentionally aided her husband, Mr Thanaraj Retinam, by granting a 14-day stay for Thai national Vanida Yamyen on Oct 7, 2002. In return her husband received a $30 bribe from Vanida's boyfriend, Mr Salva Kumar.
A district court heard that while working at Orchard Towers, Mr Retinam frequented the then Top Ten Disco at the Orchard Road building, and got to know Mr Kumar, a bouncer.
When Mr Kumar failed to get his girlfriend's stay extended at the ICA headquarters, he told Mr Retinam who said he had a friend working at the Woodlands checkpoint, and that he could help the foreigner make a "U-turn'' trip by taking her to Johor Baru and then back to Singapore in return for petrol money for his car. Mr Kumar agreed.
On Oct 7, 2002 before Mr Retinam took Vanida to Johor Baru and made a "U-turn'' trip back, he called his wife to check which booth she was stationed at.
He then drove his car to her booth for immigration clearance. Vanida's passport was endorsed with the two-week extension.
A few days later, Mr Kumar handed $30 to Mr Retinam at the Top Ten Disco.
A second charge was taken into consideration.
Kaviatha's lawyer Rakesh Vasu said his client, a mother of three, committed the offence out of sheer foolishness and out of respect for her husband.
She could have been fined up to $100,000 or jailed for up to five years or both for the offence.

What can i say , the power of LOVE makes one blind and foolish at times.

Clerk blackmailed into sex
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia
A man, who had been purportedly harassing and blackmailing his former girlfriend for sex, has been arrested.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm II Ku Chin Wah said the man in his 30s was arrested in the city on Thursday evening and has been remanded. R>The man had allegedly harassed and blackmailed his former girlfriend Liew Mei Ling, 24, into having sex with him after they broke up in July last year.
She claimed he said he had a video recording of them performing various sexual acts.

She ended the relationship and hoped to see the last of him but instead, her ex-boyfriend started harassing her and blackmailing her for sex.
Liew Mei Ling, 24, said her ex-boyfriend has been forcing her into having sex with him after they broke up in July last year.
She claimed she was being blackmailed because he allegedly said he had a video recording of them in various sex acts.
"I told him to never call me again after the break-up, but he did and threatened to distribute the video recording and pictures of our lovemaking if I did not oblige," said Liew, an administration clerk.
The threats: Liew showing Chong a picture of her phone with the threats in the form of SMS in Chinese.Liew claimed she ended the relationship when she found out he was already married.
Their relationship started in April 2006.
Since the split, Liew said she had seen her ex-boyfriend on several occasions and each time, the sex took place in her house.
"Even when we were together, it was always at my house. I never thought there would be recordings and pictures because he never brought any equipment or cameras with him each time he visited," she said, adding that she had not seen the video and photos.
"I am not aware of the existence of the recordings but I am scared," said Liew, who lives with her sister and mother in Setapak.
The ex-boyfriend also threatened to get guys to rape her if she did not give in to his sexual demands, and claimed the recording was a form of art.
Finally, unable to handle the situation anymore, she lodged a police report last month.
The threats continued and she claimed to have even received many SMSes from strangers, asking if she provided sex.
Liew sought help from MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong, who said, "People should be more careful and not be lured into such 'acts' or so-called art.
"Even the smallest gadget could be a camera. Be careful."

Hope he goes to jail for the black mail , and get sexual haress in side the cell by other prisoners every night.
